Full Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania and Transfer to Arusha/Moshi
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport
Meet your guide and transfer to a hotel in Arusha/Moshi
Attend a pre-trek briefing and equipment check
Rest and prepare for the upcoming trek
Day 2: Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut
After breakfast, drive to the Marangu Gate (1,860 meters)
Complete park formalities and meet the porters and guides
Begin the trek through the rainforest, enjoying the lush surroundings
Reach Mandara Hut (2,700 meters) for overnight stay
Mandara Hut provides basic dormitory-style accommodation
Day 3: Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut
Continue the trek through the heath and moorland zone
Pass through the stunning Maundi Crater and enjoy panoramic views
Ascend to Horombo Hut (3,720 meters) for overnight stay
Horombo Hut offers basic dormitory-style accommodation
Day 4: Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut
Trek through the Alpine desert, with spectacular views of the saddle
Ascend to Kibo Hut (4,703 meters), the base camp for the summit attempt
Rest and prepare for the summit push
Kibo Hut provides basic dormitory-style accommodation
Day 5: Summit Day – Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak and Descent to Horombo Hut
Wake up around midnight for the summit attempt
Begin the challenging trek to Gilman’s Point (5,681 meters) on the crater rim
Continue to Uhuru Peak (5,895 meters), the highest point in Africa
Celebrate the achievement and take in the breathtaking views
Descend back to Kibo Hut for a short rest
Descend further to Horombo Hut (3,720 meters) for overnight stay
Horombo Hut offers basic dormitory-style accommodation
Day 6: Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate and Departure
Descend through the heath and rainforest zones
Reach the Marangu Gate, where you’ll receive your summit certificates
Say farewell to the guides and porters
Transfer back to your hotel in Arusha/Moshi.
Celebrate your Kilimanjaro success and rest
Day 7: Departure
