Lemosho Route, 8 Days

Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Arusha/Moshi.

Rest and acclimatize in preparation for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Lemosho Gate (2,385 meters) to Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,820 meters)

After breakfast, drive to the Lemosho Gate where the trek begins.

Register at the gate and commence the trek through the lush rainforest.

Witness the abundant flora and fauna along the way.

Reach Mti Mkubwa Camp, situated at 2,820 meters, and set up camp for the night.

Day 3: Mti Mkubwa Camp to Shira 1 Camp (3,505 meters)

Continue the journey, leaving the rainforest behind and entering the heather and moorland zone.

Marvel at the changing landscapes as you ascend gradually.

Arrive at Shira 1 Camp, located at 3,505 meters, and settle into camp for the night.

Day 4: Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 Camp (3,900 meters)

Ascend further through the scenic Shira Plateau, surrounded by vast open spaces.

Enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding peaks, including Kibo and Mount Meru.

Reach Shira 2 Camp at an elevation of 3,900 meters and spend the night.

Day 5: Shira 2 Camp to Barranco Camp (3,950 meters)

Trek across rocky terrain and traverse the alpine desert zone.

Ascend to Lava Tower (4,630 meters) for a crucial acclimatization point.

Descend to Barranco Camp, nestled at 3,950 meters, and rest for the night.

Day 6: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp (4,035 meters)

Conquer the famous Barranco Wall, an exhilarating climb with breathtaking views.

Continue through the Karanga Valley, with its stunning landscapes.

Arrive at Karanga Camp, situated at 4,035 meters, and settle into camp.

Day 7: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp (4,640 meters)

Ascend through the alpine desert zone, surrounded by a stark and mesmerizing environment.

Reach Barafu Camp, positioned at 4,640 meters, and prepare for the summit push.

Rest and mentally prepare for the challenging but rewarding final ascent.

Day 8: Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak (5,895 meters) and descent to Mweka Camp (3,100 meters)

Begin the summit attempt in the early hours of the morning, guided by headlamps.

Trek to Stella Point (5,685 meters), where you’ll witness a breathtaking sunrise.

Push forward to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa, standing at 5,895 meters.

Celebrate your remarkable achievement before descending to Mweka Camp at 3,100 meters.

Rest and reflect on the incredible journey during the final night on the mountain.

Day 9: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate (1,640 meters) and Departure

Descend through the lush rainforest, filled with the sounds of nature.

Arrive at Mweka Gate, where you’ll receive your well-deserved summit certificates.

Bid farewell to the mountain and transfer back to your hotel in Arusha/Moshi.

Celebrate your accomplishment and cherish the memories of an extraordinary adventure.

Day 10: Departure

Check out from the hotel.

Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure.

Depart from Tanzania, taking with you the triumph and memories of a lifetime.
