Machame Route, 6 Days

Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania and Transfer to Arusha/Moshi

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and meet your guide

Transfer to your hotel in Arusha/Moshi, where you can rest and prepare for the trek

Attend a briefing session with your guide, who will provide you with essential information and conduct an equipment check

Day 2: Machame Gate to Machame Camp

After breakfast, transfer to the Machame Gate (1,800 meters)

Complete the necessary registration and meet the trekking team

Begin your ascent through the lush rainforest, immersing yourself in the natural beauty

Trek for approximately 5-7 hours to reach Machame Camp (3,010 meters)

Set up camp, enjoy a warm meal, and spend the night surrounded by the tranquility of the mountain

Day 3: Machame Camp to Shira Camp

Wake up to a hearty breakfast and start your trek, leaving the rainforest behind

Ascend through the moorland, witnessing the changing landscape and panoramic views

Reach Shira Camp (3,845 meters) after 4-6 hours of trekking

Settle into your campsite, take in the breathtaking scenery, and enjoy a well-deserved rest.

Day 4: Shira Camp to Barranco Camp

Begin your day with breakfast, energizing yourself for the day’s trek

Continue your ascent, traversing the high desert terrain towards Lava Tower (4,630 meters)

Descend to Barranco Camp (3,960 meters), where you’ll spend the night

This day involves some steep inclines and descents, allowing for excellent acclimatization.

Day 5: Barranco Camp to Barafu Camp via Karanga Camp

Start the day with a nutritious breakfast and prepare for a challenging but rewarding trek

Ascend the iconic Barranco Wall, an exhilarating climb that offers stunning views

Traverse through alpine desert terrain and reach Karanga Camp (4,035 meters)

Enjoy the spectacular enjoy hot lunch then we continue heading to Barafu Base Camp.

Arrive at Barafu Camp and rest briefly before commencing the final push to Uhuru Peak

Trek through steep and challenging terrain to reach the summit (5,895 meters) at sunrise

Take in the breathtaking views from the rooftop of Africa and celebrate your achievement

Descend to Mweka Camp (3,100 meters), where you’ll spend your final night on the mountain.

Day 6: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate and Return to Moshi/Arusha.

After breakfast, descend through the lush rainforest, reveling in the peaceful surroundings

Arrive at the Mweka Gate (1,640 meters), where you’ll receive your summit certificates

Meet your driver and transfer back to your hotel in Arusha/Moshi.

Celebrate your successful climb, share stories, and rest after an incredible journey.

Day 7: Departure from Tanzania

Check out from your hotel in Arusha/Moshi.

Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure
